I met Kelly and Rich a year and a half ago. I stopped by and introduced myself - we've been friends ever since! I have been a trainer and riding instructor for over 30 years and saw the potential in their facility. They have created an ideal environment for the average horse owner who wants to enjoy his/her horse without worrying about care and feeding. The barn is open and airy, with good sized stalls. Large paddocks offer grass and room to run and play. A sand round pen is available for training as well as a huge work arena with room for ring work, obstacle training, and jumping. They also have miles of trails! Lessons and other services are also available.
This past year Kelly put up a large dressage arena so I could bring my horse to practice. She even helped me create a beautiful 1st level musical freestyle which I performed during a Cancer Benefit CMDA Horse Show. Kelly even helped me make my costume for the event. Please feel free to watch it on the Percheron Peak wesite!
Please consider Percheron Peak for boarding your horse. The horse will get ideal care and you'll feel like it is your second home.

SERENITY, PEACE and JOY are the feelings my husband, Freckles and I came away with during our Journey with/at Percheron Peak Stable.
Kelly and Rich were there for us as strangers to assist us in our immediate rush to rescue Freckles. Kelly offered to trailer Freckles immediately. When we arrived at Percheron Peak with Freckles he was weak and in need of some very special care and attention. Kelly and Rich were there every step of the way and then some. Not only did they give Freckles their undivided attention but also gave Rob and I a reprieve from our temporary living situation in the city. They offered us their home cooked meals which of coarse we accepted graciously.
I have a wonderful vivid memory of Kelly coming to me and bringing apple juice in a dish to try to make him drink water for he stopped drinking all together. Anything that I needed for Freckles, Kelly and Rich were there no questions asked. Not only did Freckles get every need met but Kelly often sent us home with goodies from her veggie garden. Freckles recovered very quickly because of the undivided attention he received.
My husband and I also recovered quite nicely because of the attention we received. Rob finally took Kelly up on her offer to try out the Hammock on one of the two porches on the front of the barn, low and behold he fell asleep because he was able to relax so much. We cooked hot dogs, burgers on the grill which Kelly and Rich supplied the charcoal and grill. The environment is Everlasting! Rich offered to let us use their 4 wheeler to go for a ride on all their miles of trails that led to a waterfall designed with beautiful stone. Just amazing! The barn is just beautiful and so organized for everything has its’ place and neve r did I search for a thing. I enjoyed very much doing a lot of the care for Freckles when I could be there. But I knew when I was not there that Freckles was getting all the TLC he would need. The stall was clean, his two buckets filled with clean fresh water and an abundance of Hay and beautiful green green pasture. To watch Freckles recover so quickly gaining weight everyday and seeing his strength come back as he galloped and bucked and jumped like a bunny through all the gorgeous pastures. Kelly and Rich’s Percherons, Sweet Pea and Jossey which we refer to as Freckles girls were the most adorable pair and sweet to watch as they touched noses or talked to each other. Sweet Pea and Jossey are so smart they even tried to discourage Freckles from cribbing and Kelly has a very funny video of the event. Not everyone will leave Percheron Peak as we did with two new wonderful friends but anyone could because of the type of people Kelly and Rich are. Now today as we enjoy our new country home with Freckles in his own barn I have wonderful joyful memories of our stay at Percheron Peak and two great friends to boot!

October 2010
I had the privilege of boarding my two Belgians at Percheron's Peak for three and a half months while our new barn was being renovated. From the night we arrived, Kelly was attentive to our horses needs as they became accustomed to Maine from the Mid-west. She provided ample pasture with options for run-ins, round pen, and stall care. Kelly not only fulfilled our horses' needs, but also was very generous with produce from her garden, making sure I didn't leave without something for our dinner.
